A little understanding goes a long way.
The mean uses every value and can be strongly affected by outliers. The median is the middle value of the sorted list. The mode is the most frequent value; when all values appear equally often, no unique mode is reported.

Mean = sum of values ÷ number of values

A worked example
For 2, 4, 4, 6 and 9, the mean is 5, the median is 4, the mode is 4 and the range is 7.

A few common questions
Can I paste from a spreadsheet?
Yes. Spaces, tabs, commas, semicolons and new lines are accepted as separators. Use a period as the decimal mark and do not include thousands separators.
Are negative values supported?
Yes. Negative values, decimals and scientific notation are accepted. Missing values and nonnumeric labels must be removed.
How are several modes displayed?
All values tied for the greatest frequency are shown. If every distinct value has the same frequency, the result says no unique mode.
